Children play in a bus stop at the Katif settlement, which was founded in 1985 and is home to approximately 400 official settlers. The settlers are planning on resisting the forced evacuations next week. On August 15 the Israeli government is to begin to withdraw Jewish settlers from the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. Approximately 1,700 families are to be evacuated over two days from August 15 to August 17.
