A worker tends to the latest celery crop for Anita Tucker, 59, originally of Brighton Beach Brooklyn and Katif settler for 29 years she is owner and operator of Alei Katif-Hasalat, a produce grower in Katif. Tucker's Katif grown celery is distributed around the world and she has vowed to resist the evacuation. Katif settlement was founded in 1985 and is home to approximately 400 official settlers. The settlers are planning on resisting the forced evacuations next week. On August 15 the Israeli government is to begin to withdraw Jewish settlers from the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. Approximately 1,700 families are to be evacuated over two days from August 15 to August 17.
