Gaza City
2005
Life in Gaza City as the date for the Israeli pullout nears. Over seventy percent of the population is unemployed and the people are concerned for their future. Most of the young people sit around with nothing to do and no sense of drive dreaming to find away out of Gaza for a better life. Family bonds override any sense of individuality, resulting in an idle community that waits for a better future many believe will never come. Some Palestinians look at the Israeli disengagement as disingenuous, thinking that the Gaza strip will be further isolated from the rest of the world.
