Palestinians, including a woman in a wheelchair crying, wait in a holding area between the Israel and Gaza border as they wait to get into Israel. Erez is one of two checkpoints into Palestinian controlled areas of the Gaza Strip. It is very difficult for Palestinians to cross into Israel due to security concerns. Some of the population feel they are prisoners in on their own land, unable to cross into Israel for work, nor to visit family and friends living in Israel and the West Bank.
