Bryan R. Smith is a New York City based artist and photographer working for the Associated Press, Agence France-Presse, Reuters, EPA, UPI, Press Association, The New York Times,  Wall Street Journal, New York Daily News, Newsday and ZUMA Press with over 20 years of experience. Bryan has also been the photographer for The Empire State Building since 2005. 

Smith received a Bachelor of Science Degree with honors in Art and a minor in Art History from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. 
 
Smith has won awards from The National Press Photographers Association (NPPA), The New York Press Photographers Association (NYPPA), The New York Press Club and the NY State AP Awards. 
 
Smith has exhibited photos at the Museum of the City of New York as part of the exhibit "Rising Waters: Photographs of Sandy" as well as part of the exhibit "New York Responds: The First Six Months", a look at the still-unfolding events of 2020 through the eyes of over 100 New Yorkers, these photos are held in the permanent collection. 

Further exhibitions include the Mark Miller Gallery on the Lower East Side and Viridian Gallery in Chelsea.

Smith has exhibited his drawings and paintings at Sideshow Gallery in Brooklyn.
